Real people, working carefully on your website.
Hi, I'm Faysal. I'm a web developer, and I run CodeMastery remotely from Bangladesh, building and looking after websites for businesses in the UK.
I work with a family member in the UK, who helps with the things that are easier done locally, such as receiving payments.

A website should help your business, not add to your worries.
For many small businesses, getting a website done is confusing: unclear quotes, technical language, and people who disappear after launch. CodeMastery exists to do it differently. We explain things plainly, build carefully, and stay around afterwards.
My work is WordPress: themes, plugins, custom features, and fixing what's broken. I enjoy the practical side of the job, such as making a page load quickly, making a form actually work, and making a website easy for its owner to edit.
We're deliberately small. It means the person you talk to is the person who builds your website, and nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a developer.
- A website should make a business easier to run, not harder.
- Plain language beats technical language, every time.
- Honest advice is more useful than a bigger sale.
- You should always know what you are paying for, and why.
What you can expect from us.
A website is only useful if it helps real people do real things. That's the standard we hold our work to, and how we'd like you to judge it.
Plain language
We explain things the way we'd want them explained to us. If a term needs a glossary, we'll find a simpler way to say it.
Honest advice
If something isn't worth doing, we'll say so. If you don't need us, we'll tell you that as well.
Everything in writing
We work by email and message, so nothing gets lost and you always have a clear record of what was agreed.
A website you control
Built so you can update it yourself, with access to everything that belongs to you. You're never locked in.
Who you'll be dealing with.
We're open about how we work. Here's who does what, and what it means for you.

You
The decision-makerYou tell us what you need, share your content and feedback, and decide at every step. Nothing happens without your say-so.
What working remotely means for you
We're not on the end of a phone, and we don't have an office to visit. Instead, you get something we think is just as useful.
- A written recordEverything we agree is in writing, so there's never any confusion.
- Reply when it suits youNo chasing, no waiting on hold, no calls at awkward times.
- One person who knows your projectNo handovers between teams, and no repeating yourself.
We'll be honest about who we can help best.
We're a small team, so we choose our projects carefully. If we're not the right fit for you, we'll say so, and where we can, point you somewhere better.
We're a good fit if…
- Small and growing UK businesses
- People who want plain, practical advice
- Anyone happy to work by email and message
- Websites that need to be clear, fast and easy to manage
We're probably not the best fit if…
- You need phone support or in-person meetings
- You need a large agency team or round-the-clock cover
- You are planning a very large or highly regulated platform
Take your time. Start wherever feels comfortable.
You don't have to commit to anything to see how we work. Here are three easy ways to get to know us first.
Something you'd like us to look at?
Tell us what's happening with your website, in your own words. You don't need to know exactly what you need, we'll help you work it out.
